Terms & Conditions – Booking, Payment, Cancellation & Call-Out Charges
By booking a pest management service with Magic Pest Control, the Customer acknowledges and agrees to the following payment, cancellation, and attendance terms.
1. Booking Confirmation
A booking is confirmed once accepted by Magic Pest Control and entered into our scheduling system. Emergency, priority, same-day, and scheduled services require the dedicated allocation of certified pest technicians, vehicles, approved control agents, and operational equipment specifically reserved for your property.
The Customer warrants that all property information, infestation history, and site details provided at the time of booking are accurate and complete.
2. Customer Disclosure Requirements
The Customer must disclose, prior to confirming a booking, any special requirements that may affect treatment delivery or billing, including commercial purchase orders, keys/gate access codes, site induction requirements, approvals, or internal corporate invoicing procedures.
Magic Pest Control is under no obligation to accept altered conditions introduced after an appointment has been confirmed.
3. Payment Terms
Unless otherwise agreed in writing prior to service confirmation, payment is due immediately upon arrival/commencement or completion of the initial treatment.
The Customer must pay all validly invoiced amounts when due, subject to any statutory consumer protections provided under the Australian Consumer Law.
4. Emergency and Same-Day Bookings
Emergency, urgent, and same-day pest treatments are priority bookings. Cancellation charges may apply where the booking is cancelled after confirmation, on the scheduled service date, after technician allocation, or once our mobile unit is in transit.
Cancellation and attendance charges will be strictly limited to our reasonable operational costs and scheduling losses incurred.
5. Cancellation Policy
Cancellation charges may apply where the Customer cancels on the scheduled day, after technician dispatch, refuses treatment following on-site assessment, denies property access, or provides inaccurate details preventing safe execution.
The Customer acknowledges that cancellation charges represent reasonable cost recovery and are not intended as a penalty.
6. Call-Out, Inspection & Assessment Charges
• Once a pest technician attends your property, applicable call-out, travel, inspection, and diagnostic charges become immediately payable regardless of whether the customer elects to proceed with full treatment.
• If you decide to schedule treatment for a later date following on-site inspection, the initial call-out fee remains payable to cover technician attendance and assessment time.
7. Right to Refuse or Discontinue Services
Magic Pest Control reserves the right to refuse or suspend treatments for occupational health and safety hazards, unsealed rainwater tanks, uncontained pets, aggressive behaviour, lack of safe access, or severe non-compliance with preparation requirements. Where on-site attendance has occurred, the call-out fee remains payable.
8. Recovery of Outstanding Amounts
Any overdue balance may be recovered as a debt due and payable to Magic Pest Control, including reasonable recovery and legal collection costs to the extent permitted by law.
9. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, remedy, or protection provided under the Australian Consumer Law.
10. Entire Agreement
By confirming an appointment via phone, online booking form, SMS, or email, the Customer confirms acceptance of these terms.
Once a booking is confirmed and a technician is allocated, dispatched, or on-site, the Customer remains liable for all applicable fees and charges in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
